Grilled Paneer(cottage cheese) and Cabbage Sandwich


Cottage cheese (paneer),grated 150 grams
Cabbage,grated 1/2 small
Brown bread slices 8
Fresh coriander leaves,chopped 2 tablespoons
Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
Green chillies,finely chopped 2
Salt to taste
Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon
Butter as required
Green chutney 4 tablespoons


  • To make the filling, combine cabbage, cottage cheese, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, green chillies, salt, lemon juice and chaat masala in a bowl.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions.Paneer Sandwich
  • Butter all the bread slices.If u do not want to apply butter you can avoid it.
  • Place four slices on the worktop, buttered side facing upwards, and spread a tablespoon of green chutney on each.
  • Spread some cottage cheese mixture over each of them and cover each with the remaining slices.
  • Apply butter on the outer surface of each sandwich and grill in sandwich griller or toaster till done.
  • Serve hot.
