Green Peas(Matar) and Red Carrots(Gajar) Healthy Sandwich

W hat is the best method for a colorful and easy way to provide your skin with lots of protein and vitamin A  carrots and peas. So, here it is for all of  you a simple yet healthy recipe. I am not Joking.

Green Peas: One of the most nutritious leguminous vegetables, rich in health benefiting phyto-nutrients, minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants.

Carrots:  They are exceptionally rich source of carotenes and vitamin-A. 100 g fresh carrot contains 8285 µg of beta-carotenes and 16706 IU of vitamin A. It has been found that flavonoid compounds in carrots help protect from skin, lung and oral cavity cancers.

So, here it is:

4 brown bread slices , lightly buttered(optional) its your choice
1 1/2 cups parboiled and finely chopped carrots(to make them soft yaar)
1/4 cup green peas, boiled and slightly mashed(“)
2 tbsp grated cottage cheese(paneer)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds(jeera)
1/4 tsp finely chopped green chilies(optional you can take as many or less u    want)
2 tbsp chopped coriander(dhaniya)
1 tsp oil(anyone I prefer olive oil)
salt to taste(its really depends on your taste)


  1. Heat the oil and fry the cumin seeds until they crackle.
  2. Add the green chillies  vegetables, paneer(cottage cheese) and salt.
  3. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Spread the mixture on 2 bread slices evenly.
  5. Cover with the remaining 2 bread slices.
  6. Cut into two and serve.
